Reliability
Infrastructure that works — every day, for everyone.
Our community depends on water and power every single day. A failure in either system isn't an inconvenience — it's a crisis. For 20 years I have designed, improved, and maintained large-scale utility systems with one goal: keep them running.
- Prioritize preventive maintenance and capital reinvestment to reduce outages and extend infrastructure life
- Apply engineering best practices to identify vulnerabilities before they become failures
- Strengthen grid resilience against wildfire, extreme weather, and peak demand events
- Ensure water system redundancy and pressure reliability across all service areas
Affordability
Smart investment that protects ratepayers.
Keeping services affordable requires more than holding the line on rates — it demands disciplined financial planning, efficient operations, and investments that deliver long-term value. I have spent my career helping utilities make those decisions well.
- Apply rigorous cost-benefit analysis to every major capital project
- Pursue operational efficiencies that reduce costs without compromising service quality
- Evaluate renewable energy investments for long-term rate stability, not just short-term optics
- Maintain transparent, responsible financial stewardship on behalf of every ratepayer

Truckee's quality of life depends on the health of our watersheds, snowpack, and natural environment. As an engineer who works with these systems daily — and as a community member who skis, hikes, and explores our watersheds — I understand what is at stake.
- Integrate renewable energy thoughtfully, balancing environmental benefit with grid reliability
- Monitor and protect mountain snowpack and water resources as the foundation of our water supply
- Plan infrastructure investments with a multi-decade horizon, not just the next budget cycle
- Partner with state and regional agencies on resilient, renewable energy infrastructure
